With over 30 years of history, the Haub School has more than 1,200 alumni in a network that spans the globe, creating positive change in conservation, sustainability, and environmental leadership.

Our graduates go on to become policymakers, scientists, educators, entrepreneurs, and advocates, each carrying forward our mission of collaborative problem-solving for our world’s most pressing environmental challenges.

Whether you graduated last semester or a decade ago, you remain an integral part of the Haub School community. Alumni Highlights

BJ Edwards

Based in Laramie, Wyoming, BJ Edwards currently serves as Executive Director of the Wyoming Food Coalition while also operating her own agricultural business, Taste of the Wind—a pasture-based sheep operation that produces and sells locally raised lamb and wool products using adaptive grazing practices designed to coexist with wildlife and support healthy rangelands. She graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2016 with a double major in Rangeland Ecology and Watershed Management and Environment and Natural Resources.

PAT RODGERS

Pat Rodgers graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and a minor in Environment & Natural Resources (ENR). Pat is currently an Associate Research Scientist at the Wyoming Migration Initiative here at the University of Wyoming, working mainly in science communications. This includes filmmaking, writing for various publications, and social media. He also works with Land Trusts to help them use data from big game migrations to inform decision-making around conservation easements that could benefit big game migrations.

CASEY TERRELL

Casey works as counsel with the law firm of Hirst Applegate in Cheyenne, WY. He helps his clients with whatever civil needs they have, focusing on energy and commercial work litigation. He received his bachelors in Political Science in 2015, and Juris Doctor in Law/ dual Master of Arts in ENR (JDMA) in 2018. 

“One of the things that the Haub School does really well is focusing not only on substantively addressing problems but also spending time discussing and teaching their students how to approach problems and engage in problem-solving … Especially in my line of work, I daily encounter challenging situations where folks have competing interests, and I am tasked with navigating those as best I can while advocating for my client,” Casey says..
