Summer 2026 Hospitality Internship
The Yellowstone National Park Lodges Hospitality Internship is a 12-week program designed for students to gain hands-on experience across key areas of the hotel industry in a national park setting. Through department rotations, professional development, mentorship, and unique challenges, interns will build the skills needed for real-world hospitality management – all while getting to LIVE. WORK. EXPLORE. in Yellowstone National Park.

Internship Positions
This internship is ideal for students pursuing careers in hospitality, hotel operations, or guest services. Interns rotate through front desk, food and beverage, and housekeeping to learn the fundamentals of these departments and gain a well-rounded understanding of guest-facing and behind-the-scenes operations.

Intern Schedule + Intern Days
Hospitality Interns will work in their assigned operational roles four days per week. The fifth day, known as an “Intern Day”, is dedicated to professional development and experiential learning through classes, site visits, and activities. Intern Days turn the program from a summer job into a wellrounded internship experience.

Explore Hospitality Across the Park
In Yellowstone, our hospitality operations span hotels, lodges, cabins, and campgrounds – each with its own unique character and guest experience. Interns will participate in site visits to various locations across the park to compare operations, observe different management styles, and deepen their understanding of park-wide hospitality services.

Professional Growth + Networking
Throughout the 12 weeks, interns will engage with members of park leadership, departmental managers, and industry subject matter experts through classes and Q&A with guest speakers. These experiences provide valuable insights into niche areas of hospitality, strengthen professional connections, and help students envision their path in the hospitality industry.
