Higher Education in Wildlife Scholarship
Deadline to apply: June 30, 2026, 11:59 p.m.
The Wyoming Game Wardens Association’s mission is to promote the Wyoming Game Warden, advocate for it to remain as a multi-purpose position, continue to honor, respect and uphold the reputation of the Wyoming Game Warden and advocate for conservation and education. In following these goals, the WGWA is awarding one (1) scholarship in the amount of $2,000 to a deserving student who is currently enrolled at a post-secondary school (college, university or trade school) and who is majoring in the field of natural resources management with an emphasis on wildlife law enforcement or wildlife management, or a similar field.
Please include the following information:
- Full name, address, email address, phone number, and post-secondary school name.
- Write a short essay explaining what program of study you are currently majoring in, and what direction you would like this to take you in your future employment. Why have you chosen this field of interest?
- Is there a specific person who has had an influence on your field of interest, and/or what interests and experiences in the outdoors have impacted your decision?
- Is there a specific State or Federal agency which you want/hope/prefer to work for and why? Do you have any pertinent field work experience?
- Attach a copy of your most recent transcript. Unofficial is acceptable, but you may be asked to provide an official transcript at a later time.
Application deadline is June 30, 2026, 11:59 p.m. Award will be announced on August 1.
Only students currently enrolled in a college/university or post-secondary school will be considered. Applications will be reviewed based upon the totality of the application. The use of Artificial Intelligence will not be tolerated and evidence of such will be grounds for disqualification of the applicant.
