Career Planning

Career planning is a critical piece of your professional development. We’ll help you chart a path that aligns your interests, values, and strengths with meaningful opportunities in the world. It’s about exploring your options, setting goals, and learning how to make informed decisions. With thoughtful planning, you can adapt to change, stay focused on what matters most to you, and build a fulfilling career.

If you’re unsure about your major or career fit, schedule an appointment with a career counselor at the Advising, Career, & Exploratory (ACES) office. The licensed career counselors help UW students explore their personalities, values, interests and abilities—key steps in finding the right academic and career paths. They will guide you in setting goals that align with your values and help you find a career path that feels like the perfect fit.
